Competition Entry
Biscoe Wilson Architect's competition entry for the Queensland Gallery of Modern Art proposed the continuation of the existing wall mall from the adjoining queenland art gallery into the new gallery. The wall mall became an strong organisation device for the planning of the site and building. The competition entry proposed the re-connection of the water mall to the Brisbane River through a large 'river room' that in turn formed the main circulation spine for the new building.
